From the Bride:

Thoughts on Florals: Working with Dixon Florist was such a breeze. We came to Courtney with my scattered Pinterest board which had a smattering of all different kinds of styles: boho, composed, loose, tight. No problem. We asked for garlands for the Indian ceremony. No problem. Oh, instead of doing just one flower arch, we actually had two, one for each ceremony. No problem. Mom came to a meeting and wanted more flowers, more! No problem. They took all of my inspiration, scattered as it was, and harmonized it. We had hanging flowers in our m and up, rich foliage, the range of pinks and white I wanted. It was perfect.

Thoughts on the Cake + Design: We worked with such amazing vendors who are absolute artists, and Paper HeartPatisserie is one example. Bhavin and I both love food, so we definitely wanted a cake with awesome and different-than-usual flavors, and Paper Heart Patisserie’s cake list sounded superb. Funnily enough, I totally botched my tasting as I didn’t let the cake come up to room temp before eating (lesson learned) but Amanda was so kind to let us do a second tasting with some off-menu flavors which were amazing. We ended up going with three flavors: matcha green tea with pistachio buttercream, elderflower rose lemonade, and raspberry rose coconut.In terms of the design, I loved naked cakes and cakes with floral decorations. We had a design meeting two months before over the phone where she brought it together and proposed these works of art in coordination with our proposed color scheme blush, gold, white, eucalyptus green, navy. Out of the five sketches, we fell in love with the first, which had abstract brush strokes, and flecks of gold. In our interactions, we ended up on four tiers, with a hexagon tier at second to the top. We decided to do without a cake topper and let the cake stand on its own. Our florist, Dixon Florist, worked with Paper Heart Patisserie to add a few beautiful floral touches the day of, and we couldn’t have loved it more!
