A Vibrant, Modern Wedding at St. Francis Yacht Club with Bold Color and Bay Views

Karly and Scott’s modern San Francisco wedding was filled with meaningful details, bold color, and unforgettable views of the Bay. Their love story began on the East Coast, but their celebration brought friends and family across the country to witness the next chapter of their lives in the city they now call home.

From Trinity College to San Francisco

These two met as standout athletes at Trinity College in Connecticut, both earning the honor of “Bantam of the Week.” Their bond grew through shared values and adventurous spirits, ultimately leading them west to San Francisco. After Scott proposed, they knew their wedding needed to reflect the vibrant, dynamic life they’d built together.

The St. Francis Yacht Club felt like the perfect choice. Located beside Chrissy Beach, a spot they frequent often, the venue offered a symbolic and sentimental setting. With the Golden Gate Bridge as their backdrop, they created a celebration that welcomed their East Coast guests with a fresh view of their love story.

A Sunset-Inspired Design Full of Personality

For this modern San Francisco wedding, we wanted to steer away from anything that felt too formal or traditional. Instead of a banquet-style dinner, we focused on crafting a design that felt young, fresh, and full of movement—like a whimsical take on coastal elegance.

We drew inspiration from the colorful sunsets that paint the venue’s view every evening. Everything from the signage to the gradient napkins echoed this palette. Tables popped with color. Each design choice was layered intentionally to feel cohesive while still full of individuality.

Fashion Meets Florals

The fashion choices were just as striking. Bridesmaids wore vibrant, colorful dresses that added playful energy to the day. Their white bouquets offered a clean, chic contrast. Karly, on the other hand, wore a white gown and carried a bold, colorful bouquet. The contrast between the two created a beautiful balance that tied into the overall aesthetic seamlessly.

An Epic Dance Floor Beside the Bay

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the celebration turned up a notch. Golden Bell, a live fusion band, brought unmatched energy to the dance floor. With the San Francisco Bay as their backdrop, guests of all ages danced under the stars. The music, the view, and the vibrant crowd created a night to remember.

One of the standout elements was the couple’s fresh take on a traditional yacht club venue. Their vision brought a youthful twist to the classic space with bold design and thoughtful details.

The bridesmaids’ bright dresses paired with white florals, alongside the bride’s colorful bouquet, made for an eye-catching and stylish pairing that stood out beautifully in photos.

And of course, the live fusion band was a major highlight. Their energy kept the dance floor packed and the party going strong until the very end.
