A Celebration of Love and Laughter: Alex & Mai’s Unforgettable Wedding

When it comes to planning a wedding that truly reflects a couple’s personality, Alex and Mai’s special day stands out in the most heartwarming way. As a Sonoma Wedding Planner, we live for the weddings that break the mold and celebrate love in all its quirks and joy. And this wedding? It was as fun, unique, and genuine as they come.

Cutting the Cheese—Literally

Mai, a self-proclaimed foodie with a love for all things delicious and unexpected, made one bold and brilliant request: instead of a traditional wedding cake, she wanted a wedding cake made entirely of cheese wheels. From triple cream brie to aged cheddar, the cheese tower was both a showstopper and a true reflection of her playful spirit. The running joke all evening? “They cut the cheese”—and it had guests laughing all night long.

Gibson the VIP (Very Important Pup)

Though their beloved dog Gibson couldn’t be physically present at the celebration, he certainly wasn’t forgotten. In fact, he became the life of the dance floor thanks to three-foot cardboard cutouts placed throughout the venue. Guests danced with Gibson, took selfies, and laughed as his presence was felt in the most adorable way.
