This wedding was so special to me. Kassie’s Grandmother reached out to me to plan Kassie’s, Kansas City wedding. My grandfather and Kassie’s grandfather are brothers, making us third cousins {who had never met!}. Kassie’s grandfather told me wonderful stories about my grandfather, whom I had never met because he had past away before I was born. He spoke so highly of him and told me how special it was that his brothers granddaughter was helping his granddaughter plan her wedding. So sweet.Kassie lives in New York and I live in California, so we did all the planning over the phone and through e-mail. Kassie chose the most gorgeous venue that is covered in white subway tile. It was stunning! Her favors doubled as a place card and they looked amazing. Each guest received a navy blue napkin with their name embroidered on it. Kassie + Jono also gave their guests welcome bags with great recommendations on what to to do in Kansas City, handmade soap, and of course some great BBQ sauce. They also had their favorite coffee shop come out and make iced coffee for the cocktail reception. Jono + Kassie danced late into the night and munched on popcorn for a late night snack.
