A Romantic Fall Celebration: Auberge Napa Wedding Inspiration

One of the unique joys of being both a wedding planner and a young mom is getting a front-row seat to the mother-daughter bond during wedding planning. For Shelby and Tieler’s unforgettable fall celebration, I had the privilege of witnessing something truly special.

Shelby planned every detail of her Auberge Napa wedding alongside her loving and dedicated mom, Terri. From our early planning calls to the final design choices, it was a collaboration filled with care, intention, and excitement. As a mom of girls, it gave me all the feels and made me dream of planning my own daughter’s wedding someday.

To wow their guests, Shelby and Tieler chose the luxurious Auberge du Soleil, a stunning venue nestled in the Rutherford hills of Napa Valley. Their wedding took place on a crisp fall day, framed by golden light and rolling vineyard views—the perfect setting for an Auberge Napa wedding.

The Design

The design was inspired by Tieler’s proposal next to a fig tree. That meaningful detail led us to create a romantic color palette of blush, mauve, plum, and wine tones. Morgan from Blooms by Morgan brought that vision to life with cascading florals and show-stopping arrangements. One unforgettable moment was Shelby’s veil and gown draped down the staircase surrounded by florals—so breathtaking it brought tears to Terri’s eyes (and mine too!).

From wood laser-cut place cards to olive branch sprigs at each seat, no detail was overlooked. Guests were treated to a Michelin-rated dinner, a champagne sabering moment, and a dance party that had everyone—from the newlyweds to the mother of the bride—on their feet all night.

This Auberge Napa wedding was truly magical. It was timeless, romantic, emotional, and filled with unforgettable moments that will stay in our hearts forever.
